Saudi Jawahir opens a New Tom Ford store in Kingdom Mall, Riyadh

Tom Ford announces the launch of the new Riyadh TOM FORD store on March 30th, 2017. Located in the Gallery of the Kingdom Mall, one of Riyadh’s landmarks famed for its Sky Bridge—a walkway at the top of a 300-meter tower that overlooks the whole city—the store will offer the complete Womenswear and Menswear collections alongside the TOM FORD Cosmetics and Fragrances collections and TOM FORD Eyewear. The Kingdom Mall store joins two existing TOM FORD stores in Saudi Arabia, located in Riyadh and Jeddah.

Visitors to the Riyadh store will discover the environment of soft modernism and timeless luxury that is the signature of TOM FORD stores worldwide.

They enter through blackened steel doors into the first salon, devoted to Men’s Luggage and Women’s Handbags. It sets the tone for the entire store with grey mist mirror walls and pale Bleu de Savoie marble floors. Display units made of Macassar ebony shelves, chrome, and grey ultra-suede showcase iconic TOM FORD handbags such as the Natalia. This leads into a salon dedicated to Eyewear for Women and Men, Jewelry, and Men’s Shoes. Clients can discover the full range of TOM FORD Sunglass and Optical frames in elegant surroundings furnished with white marble display tables and luxurious leather seating.

The Men’s Salon comes next. Furnished in a manner that evokes an exclusive gentlemen’s club, it offers an environment of refined masculinity, inviting the TOM FORD client to comfortably explore the complete Menswear collection. A luxurious seating area features a brown velvet sofa and black-mirror coffee table lit from within. Stepping through Ebony portals, the client then enters the Men’s Perfumery salon. Women can discover the TOMFORD Beauty collection of Cosmetics, Skincare, and Fragrances in the adjoining Cosmetics Salon—a room that blends beauty and function with mirrored walls, white marble-topped consultation tables, and accents of polished chrome.

From that white room, the client steps into the silvery grey-toned Women’s salon, where she may discover the collection’s daywear, evening gowns, and shoes in an atmosphere of heady, feminine glamour. Mirrored columns float on polished chrome bases and a fireplace made of glass, chrome, and marble is the striking focal point. A silver-blue wool sofa and stainless steel coffee table create an inviting seating area.

Men’s and Women’s private fitting rooms are walled in light grey ultra-suede and finished with grey wool drapery. In each fitting room, a Macassar ebony tailor stand is a visual reminder of Tom Ford’s dedication to extraordinary levels of craftsmanship.

Editor’s Notes: In April 2005, Tom Ford announced the creation of the TOM FORD brand. Ford was joined in this venture by former Gucci Group President and Chief Executive Officer Domenico De Sole, who serves as Chairman of the company. In that same year Ford announced his partnership with Marcolin Group to produce and distribute optical frames and sunglasses, as well as an alliance with Esteé Lauder to create the TOM FORD Beauty brand.

In April 2007, his first directly owned flagship store opened in New York at 845 Madison Avenue and coincided with the debut of the TOM FORD Menswear and Accessory collection. In September 2010, during an intimate presentation at his Madison Avenue flagship, Ford presented his much anticipated Womenswear collection. Presently, there are 124 freestanding TOM FORD stores and shop-in-shops in locations such as New York, Toronto, Beverly Hills, Zurich, Milan, Puerto Banus, Moscow, Osaka, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Baku, Dubai, Tokyo, Seoul, Montreal, San Francisco, Beirut, Hong Kong, Shanghai, New Delhi, Rome, London, Kowloon, Munich, Beijing, and Sydney.
